What is Microblading?
Microblading is the artistic technique of tattooing individual hair strokes with a handheld tool called a microblade. Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblading artists hand draw each hair to match the color and coarseness of your eyebrows. The result? Gorgeous, natural looking eyebrows.

How long does it last?
Microbladed eyebrows last 1 to 2 years for most people, before it usually needs a touch up.

Does it hurt?
Most clients report little or no pain! We use a topical anesthetic before the procedure to numb the affected area.

What is the price?
$650 and up based on the artist.

How long is the appointment?
It usually takes anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours, depending on if it's your first session or not, with most of the time spent going over colors and drawing eyebrow shapes. The microblading portion lasts about 30-45 minutes.

How do I make an appointment?
Send us an email here or call/text us at 818-741-8405. Please note: some of our artists book out many weeks in advance, so don't delay!

How should I prepare for my appointment?
Before your appointment, we highly encourage our clients to check out our Instagram and "shop" for eyebrows on our feed. Eyebrows comes in many shapes and styles, from feathered to bold, arched to straight. Our microblading artists will work with you to customize your best brows. In the week before your appointment, we recommend avoiding blood thinners, aspirin, alcohol or using retinol creams.

How long does it take to heal?
You'll be able to wear your new brows back to lunch! In the first 5-7 days, you'll need to avoid getting them wet, working out or wearing brow makeup. It takes about 30 days to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing. Our artists will explain everything in depth during your appointment.

What is the aftercare?
Stay out of the sun and water while your microblading heals. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade. We recommend applying a small amount of A&D ointment twice a day. Our artists will explain everything in depth during your appointment.

When should I get a touch up? How much is it?
Touch up is between 4-6 weeks of your appointment. See pricing for microblading touchups and other services here.

Can I get microblading while pregnant?
No, we do not recommend microblading while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Who is ineligible for microblading?
We  do not provide microblading for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids.

Can I get permanent makeup if I have injections/fillers?
We recommend getting permanent makeup first, or ask your specialist for clearance.

Can microblading hide/cover my scars?
It's great for that! But we recommend sending us a photo of your eyebrows without makeup so one of our artists can review and let you know whether you’re a candidate for microblading.

What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.

How long will a set of eyelash extensions last?
When applied, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.

Are lashes safe?
At Arched, we only uses professional grade adhesive which never comes in contact with your skin. Synthetic eyelashes adhere about 1mm away from your skin.

Can I apply mascara to eyelash extensions?
Our eyelash extensions are designed to give your natural lashes an improved look of fullness so mascara is not needed.

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions?
We do ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 48 hours of wear. After that 48-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas or certain facials is recommended since it can begin to loosen the bond.

How soon can I wash my face after the extensions are applied?
The suggested time frame is 48 hours. For a guest with sensitivities, it is suggested to wash within the first 12 hours of application.

How do I dry my eyelash extensions?
After cleansing your eyelashes, brush your extensions with a clean mascara wand and use a lint-free cloth to gently apply pressure to the top of your extensions while keeping your eyes closed. Don’t forget to brush again with a clean mascara wand!

How do I take care of my new eyelash extensions?

  • Avoid getting lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours

  • Avoid hot steam or sauna

  • Use an OIL FREE makeup cleanser to remove any eye makeup.

  • Use a mild antibacterial foaming cleanser to cleanse the lashes.

  • Do not perm eyelashes or manually curl.

  • Brush with a clean mascara wand daily.

  • TIP: Sometimes mornings are a mess! Try washing your lashes in the morning and gently brushing the top side of the extensions with a finger placed beneath. If too much tugging is noticed, a quick stop at your local studio may be necessary to help separate these extensions.

Is the product FDA approved? Is it safe?
Currently, the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free. Some clients consider the process relaxing and even sleep through the appointment.

How long will it take to apply eyelash extensions and how is it done?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes about 90-120 minutes for a full set of lashes and 45-60 minutes for a refill. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed while relaxing ambient music is played in the background. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.

How do I choose the look I want?
Your technician will consult with you to understand what type of style you are interested in and what look will work best with your natural lashes. The overall look of the lashes can range from very natural to very dramatic!

Do I have to do anything to prepare for the service?
Use an oil-free makeup remover to cleanse your lashes prior to the appointment as well to remove any leftover mascara. Lashes should not be permed or manually curled at the time of appointment. No makeup please!

What happens if I choose to have my eyelash extensions removed?
We can definitely remove the lashes. The gel remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching the skin and allowed to sit for 10 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes. Please contact the salon for any questions concerning removal.
